About the equipment

NovoTHOR Whole Body Light Pod

NovoTHOR is the world’s first and only whole body Photobiomodulation device that operates within known effective parameters and delivers Photobiomodulation Therapy in just 8-15 minutes. The device is safe, relaxing, and has no negative side effects.

Photobiomodulation Therapy promotes regeneration, reduces inflammation and pain, is non-toxic, and non-invasive. Nike took a light pod to the 2016 Olympics in Rio to help athletes with injuries and recovery.

The Photobiomodulation Studio uses THOR Photomedicine’s devices. Since 1993, THOR has worked to build its R&D and scientific reputation by collaborating with many universities and hospitals worldwide using its LED and 3b Laser devices.

See here for more information on the NovoTHOR Whole Body Light Pod.

THOR has over 5,000 customers in 70 countries, from sports teams and the military to hospitals and health clinics, and is the only company with FDA, CE, TGA, Health Canada and NATO clearances.

Giant Laser Cluster | NEW TO THE STUDIO IN 2020

This amazing new device from THOR Photomedicine treats 16 times the area of the Analgesic Laser Cluster in just 30 seconds.

The Giant Laser Cluster covers 280 square centimetres so that larger areas can be treated quickly and easily such as the cervical, thoracic and lumbar regions (neck and back).

It relieves muscle and joint pain, aches, and stiffness with a simple, easy-to-apply treatment and built using the 810 nm laser diodes, as featured in all THOR Photomedicine’s lasers, the wavelength penetrates deeply into all types of tissue.

THOR LX2 Control Unit and its five probes

The three probes emit red and near-infrared light and together with the control unit are built to specifications that enable them to be used in photobiomodulation clinical trials.

Photobiomodulation clinical trials with similar wavelengths and power densities have demonstrated that:

  • Analgesia (the inability to feel pain) can be achieved with these instruments targeting the nerves at the spine, nerve roots, nerve plexuses, and along the course of the nerve

  • Tender points, however small, can be treated with the Trigger Point Laser

The THOR 200 mW Trigger Point Laser has a built in trigger point/tender point locator that indicates the location of the distress, and more importantly, gives Rupert the facility to compare one area with another to determine the primary focal point of the problem. It does this by measuring the electrical conductance in the skin – the higher the conductance, the greater the distress.

The probes:

  • Healing/anti-inflammatory 69 LED Cluster (34 x 10 mW LEDs at 660 nm & 35 x 30 mW LEDs at 850 nm)

  • Analgesic Laser Cluster (5 x 200 mW lasers at 810 nm)

  • Trigger Point Laser (200 mW laser at 810 nm)
